A Joyful Noise at the Fall Recital

November 17, 2015

Sunday, November 15th, 2015 was a day filled with music and joy as Musical Empowerment students, teachers, parents and supporters filled the University United Methodist Church to watch and listen at the Fall Recital.

The recital featured performances on multiple instruments including piano, guitar, cello, clarinet, trumpet, violin, and flute. Performance pieces ranged in difficulty and genre from Freidrich Seitz’s Violin Student Concerto in D Major to the Star Wars Overture to Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song”. The video above features Musical Empowerment student, Elizabeth, and her teacher, Kay playing a beautiful cello duet rendition of “Frere Jacques” at the recital.

You can read more about the recital and Musical Empowerment’s recent growth in the Herald Sun’s article covering the event here.
